Dear friends of UENFW,
Our meeting in Paris is an opportunity to shape the future of UENFW together. It is especially important to me that wine culture, personal friendships and fair football continue to define our community.
In Paris, we will say farewell to our Secretary General, Erica Fischbach, with heartfelt gratitude. Dear Erica, your dedication has shaped our community and helped lay an important foundation for UENFW’s future. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
After eight wonderful years as President of UENFW, I will pass the baton in spring 2027. In Paris, I would like to announce this transition and work with you to lay the foundations for our future cooperation. Until the handover, I will continue to guide this process together with you.
I am particularly looking forward to welcoming the delegations from Spain and Croatia, with membership discussions on the agenda. With Italy, Spain and France taking part, some of Europe’s great wine and football nations will come together. For me, this is a wonderful expression of European friendship.
My thanks go to everyone whose commitment sustains our community. I look forward to open discussions in Paris.
Together, we can ensure that UENFW continues to connect people and wine regions across borders.

Wine has been produced for thousands of years. The earliest known traces of wine are from Georgia . Wine has long played an important role in religion.
